Sharing life & gospel

Iíve been allowed the privilege to disciple some young ladiesí from our church family here in Nairobi. Njeri has been a believer for quite some time and has a thirst to know and love the Lord more. We are studying the book of Colossians together.  Tanya is a newer believer and has expressed interest in growing deeper in the faith. We are going through a discipleship book called Foundations, which deals with understanding the basics of the Christian faith. Please pray that the Lord will use me to encourage these young ladies and to be a godly example of what a biblical wife and mother should be.

I am also blessed to be a part of a ministry to teenage girls who are living in one of the nearby slums. Each Saturday the girls come to EBC (Emmanuel Baptist Church) for a time of fellowship, games, a snack and teaching from Godís Word. We are currently going through the Gospel of John in an effort to help the girls truly understand who Jesus is and what he requires of our lives if we are true disciples. One of the challenges in the African context is the prevalence of a cultural christianity. Basically, if youíre not a Muslim, you consider yourself to be Christian. So we are very intentional about sharing the true gospel of Jesus Christ with these girls each and every week and we pray that the Lord will open up their hearts and minds to this gospel.

Please pray with us!
